Clinical Trials in Action

For sixth-year medical students, we offer the opportunity to spend time at DCR and gain firsthand experience with the various steps involved in designing and conducting clinical studies.

The focus is on interacting with research teams, patients, and their families to understand the significance of clinical research.

Participants engage in various activities at DCR (sitem-insel), including those at CTU Bern (Mittelstrasse) and the Clinical Investigation Unit (CIU; sitem-insel) by

• observing consultations and activities for new and ongoing clinical trials, including patient and public involvement.
• attending study visits at CIU, observing informed consent processes, and administering trial procedures and therapies.
