Statistical Consulting

Our team of statisticians offers consulting meetings on any methodological or statistical topic (e.g. study design, approach to sample size calculation, approach to statistical analysis, data sharing), or a possible collaboration. 

There are many new trial methodologies, particularly those of adaptive and pragmatic trials. So that you don’t already go down the pathway of a (old fashioned) standard design, come and discuss with the DCR team which more modern methodologies may be appropriate for your study question.

Please note that while we offer comprehensive consulting support, we do not conduct formal calculations, analyses, or statistical writing during basic consulting sessions.

At your initial consultation at DCR, you may also be recommended to have discussions with the Medical Data Science team.

We provide statistical support for protocol development if you are planning a research project and wish to collaborate with us during the conduct and analysis of the study.

Our consulting sessions encompass guidance on study design and statistical methods. Upon request, we conduct a standard sample size calculation and assist in drafting the statistical section of the protocol.

Ensure to schedule your consultation appointment at least one month before your intended submission of the study protocol to the ethics committee. Additionally, provide a study proposal or outline to us before or during the consulting session

Please note: When planning your grant submission, schedule your consultation appointment well in advance. The initial DCR consulting should take place ideally at least 3 months prior to EOI submission
